The Great Wildebeest Calving Migration Safari has been designed specically to focus on following the Great Serengeti Wildebeest migration during calving from December to April. The areas to be covered are Lake Ndutu area, as well as the Southern and Central areas of Serengeti National Park where the majority of the wildebeest are usually found. A visit to the world famous Ngorongoro Crater is part of this safari as well.
The Southern Serengeti and Ndutu areas in Tanzania are the best locations for the months of January, February and March to witness thousands of wildebeest spread across the plains grazing on the rich short grass plains. Predator action is at its peak with great sightings of cheetah, lion, hyena and leopard and a very good chance to see adrenalin packed kills

Day by Day

Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After breakfast in the morning, your driver guide i will drive you Tarangire National Park for a Full day game drive with picnic lunch box, It takes 02 hrs 30 minutes drive to reach the park entrance. Around 4 or 5 PM you will be driven to the lodge .
Tarangire Highlight: Tarangire is one of the best-known and most popular national parks of Tanzania’s northern circuit. On this one-day safari, you can immerse yourself in its magical scenery: savannah, dotted with mystical baobab trees and the majestic Tarangire River. Tarangire is also famous for its large herds of elephants roaming the park. But you can also spot buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, warthogs and the beautiful waterbuck antelope. Your expert driver guide will share many useful facts about the region’s wildlife. From the window-seat and the pop-up roof of your 4×4 safari vehicle, you will have the best view to take in this magical day. After a after noon game drive your driver guide will transfer you to your accommodation in Karatu with a stop at the great rift valley View point, then proceed to the lodge. 

After breakfast, we will set off for full day game drive with picnic lunch boxes to Ndutu area situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, which is part of the southern Serengeti eco-system, the journey takes 2- 3 hrs drive.

Ndutu Area Description: Lake Ndutu like most other rift lakes is alkaline however the water is still drinkable and consumed by a wide array of local wildlife. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April. The area is usually heavily populated with elephant, birds and resident game.

After breakfast, you will leave with a picnic lunch boxes for a full game drive in Serengeti.

Big Five: The Serengeti is home to the Big Five – lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinoceros (although rhinos are relatively rare). Visitors have excellent chances of spotting these iconic African species during game drives in the park.
Endless Plains: The Serengeti’s vast savannah plains seem to stretch endlessly, creating a breathtaking landscape that is quintessentially African. The sweeping panoramas provide stunning backdrops for wildlife sightings and photography.
Predator Action: With an abundance of prey species, the Serengeti supports a large population of predators, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Visitors often have the opportunity to witness thrilling predator-prey interactions during game drives.
After lunch continue with afternoon game drive in the Serengeti, witnessing the vast savannah and diverse wildlife.

view in Serengeti, at noon you will stop for the at Naabi gate. After lunch check out Serengeti drive 2hrs 30 to Ngorongoro with a stop of visiting Masai Village (50$ per) vehicle, where you will learn about Maasai culture. Your lodge is located on the top pf the crater edge.

At 0630 hrs in the morning, your driver guide will pick you up you up at the Lodge and drive you the to descend route, 45 mins drive. Today will descend to Ngorongoro Crater for either full day dame drive or half day game, those will depend if you will have a flight that day.
Highlight: Ngorongoro Crater is one the largest intact caldera in the world and one of the most spectacular sights in the whole of Africa. All the BIG FIVE Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera, others are Zebra, Hippo, Wildebeest, Hyena, and more… Birds includes flamingos in the Soda Lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures, and more other bird families.
Your picnic lunch will be served in the Crater picnic site at Ngoitokok swamp, a Hippo pool, after lunch proc seems with afternoon game viewing. At 12 ascend the Crater and drive to Kilimanjaro international airport .
